Lady GaGa wants to collaborate with the X Factor’s John and Edward Grimes for a performance for the Queen.
The Bad Romance singer, who met the Queen backstage at last year’s Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, wants to sing for her diamond jubilee in 2012.
And 23-year-old GaGa, real name Stefani Germanotta, says she has been bowled over by the twins Jedward.

Brit politician attacks Disney over lack of disabled characters in films

Disney has come under attack by former British Labour MP Oona King for the lack of disabled characters in their films.
Although, Disney drew a warm response when its first black princess appeared in the film ‘The Princess and The Frog’, King, 42, is not satisfied.
“You never see disabled people…When are you going to see a Disney film with a disabled character in the lead role? Tell me that,” the Telegraph quoted King as saying.
She continued: “I think all of the media has a problem.
“If you look at the members of the media’s cultural network, all British broadcasters, none of us do well in terms of diversity. The people making film and TV have to really get their act together.”
“Where we have made progress is having black people and other under-represented groups on the screen, but we still don’t have black people making films. I can’t think of the British Spike Lee,” King added.

‘Sex and the City 3′ on the way?

Actress Kim Cattrall has hinted at third ‘Sex And The City’ movie sequel.

“We’ll tell stories as long as they’re there to tell,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
While the second instalment of the film series is due to release later this year, there were rumours that the stars have already filmed a trilogy with the third film due to be released in two years’ time.
According to reports, there were concerns that Sarah Jessica-Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Cattrall might look too old if they left a long gap between filming the follow-ups.

The Ooh! La, La! Couture line will feature “versatile styles that can be worn with sweet ballerina slippers, funky sneakers or paired with lace stockings and boots for more of a rock and roll look.”
It is set for a debut on Valentine’s Day, reports Usmagazine.
Meanwhile, the Hanna Montana star’s 9-year-old sister has appeared in a new video on YouTube, lip synching to singer Kesha’s racy new single “Tik Tok”.
Noah is seen dancing around in a pair of white sunglasses and a Miley t-shirt, robotically twirling a pole and swinging a light saber at a goateed stranger behind her.
The song, which includes lines like, “I’m talking about everybody getting crunk, crunk/ Boys tryin’ to touch my junk, junk,” has been deemed a little inappropriate to be mimicked by a nine-year-old.

JLo to be questioned about sexuality in court

American actress Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Ojani Noa’s representative has revealed that he will question her about her sexuality in open court.
The announcement came as the ongoing dispute between Lopez, 40, and Noa faced another round in court with a judge rejecting the actress’ attempt to send the matter to arbitration.
Noa has been attempting to win the right to use a home video of Lopez for commercial gain, but her attorneys have so far managed to obtain an injunction blocking him using it.
Now Ed Meyer, who is Noa’s business manager and executive producer for his in-development movie, is turning up the pressure, and has revealed that the home video shows Lopez kissing girls.
“The first question I plan on asking Jennifer Lopez on the stand is if she is bi-sexual,” Radar Online quoted Meyer as saying on January 29 after the court ruling.
But while Meyer refers to the video as “sex tapes”, as source, who has seen the tapes, has revealed that they do not depict sex and, at best, some portions could be considered “racy”.

Elaine Paige apologises to Susan Boyle for ‘virus’ remarks

English singer Elaine Paige has apologised for calling ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star Susan Boyle a virus.
Paige had labelled singer-fan Boyle as “virus who had spread across the world in a nanosecond.”
She suggested that the 48-year-old Scottish singer had not earned her place in the music industry as she had forfeited years of “working hard and experience.”
However, Paige now says she did not mean to cause offence - as she is one of Boyle’s biggest fans.
“I wasn’t referring to Susan herself (when I called her a virus); I was referring to the speed of her fame spreading as fast as a worldwide viral marketing campaign,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
“I am a huge supporter of Susan Boyle and admire what she has achieved.
“I have always said it’s very hard for someone to be fast-tracked to stardom without any prior experience - I know this as it happened to me when Evita (the musical) opened and I found it extremely difficult in the beginning.
“Today, of course, it’s much harder with the phenomenon of the internet - Facebook, YouTube etc - it seems it only takes minutes for fame to spread around the world - and that’s why I used the word ‘virus’,” she added.

I didn’t axe Miller from ‘Robin Hood’, says Crowe

Hollywood star Rusell Crowe has spoken out about Sienna Miller’s dismissal from his new movie ‘Robin Hood’, insisting he had nothing to do with the decision, as was earlier reported.
Miller was originally signed on to play Maid Marian in the Ridley Scott venture, but she mysteriously left the project last year amid rumours she had been dropped because she was too young to play 45-year-old Crowe’s love interest.
Cate Blanchett, 40, was later drafted in to take her place in the film, which is due for release later this year and now Crowe insists he played no part in axing Miller, while defending Blanchett’s performance in the upcoming film, reports imdb.com.
‘It wasn’t my call, actually, it’s more that I’m too old and fat! But Cate brings something else. The way we changed the character, we needed somebody who was going to be resilient. And Cate is superb in this film. She was excellent to work with and a great partner in crime,’ he said.

Brittany Murphy’s widower to sue Warner Bros over her death

Simon Monjack, husband of late actress Brittany Murphy, is planning to file a lawsuit against Warner Bros in connection with his wife’s fatal heart attack Dec 20, according to media reports.
Monjack claims in the interview with The Daily Beast that Murphy’s death was due to stress caused by Warner Bros’ alleged decision last month to cancel a contract for a voice role in the sequel to 2006’s animated musical ‘Happy Feet’.
A month earlier, Murphy had been allegedly fired from the set of the upcoming independent thriller ‘The Caller’ and replaced by ‘Twilight’ star Rachelle Lefevre, the Entertainment Weekly reported on its website Thursday.
‘Any claim that Warner Bros. Pictures was somehow responsible for Brittany Murphy’s tragic death is demonstrably false, reprehensible, and defamatory,’ a Warner Bros representative said in a statement.
‘Despite press reports to the contrary, Warner Bros. Pictures and Ms. Murphy never entered into any deal for ‘Happy Feet 2′, and thus, there was no contract to cancel,’ he said.
When reached for comment, a representative for Monjack said he ‘will not be discussing his potential lawsuit further at this time,’ according to the weekly.

It has emerged that the reason pop princess Britney Spears was dumped by her beau Jason Trawick was because of her recent kooky and embarrassing behaviour in public.
Spears, 28, is reportedly said to have suffered a series of embarrassing meltdowns and has been exploding in rages of jealousy.
“Britney goes through manic stages where her behaviour gets out of control,” News.com.au quoted a source close to the singer as telling UK’s Now magazine.
“Jason’s older and while he still likes clubbing, he also enjoys having nice dinners with close friends.
“Britney can be very excitable. She’s been known to jump on the table and start dancing and seems to like nothing more than describing the most intimate details of their sex life to people she’s only just met.
“She raged at Jason about his friendship with certain girls, even work colleagues. He told her she was acting hysterically, but that seemed to make her more possessive.
“All the years of paps following her have got to her and even at home she’s convinced that people are hiding in the bushes.
“She’s very paranoid and can’t sleep, She sometimes gets someone to drive her around at night to rock her to sleep.
“She’s been texting Adnan Ghalib again, although everyone’s told her he doesn’t have her best interests at heart.
“No one wants to see her go back to the bad old days, but it’s starting to look inevitable,” the source added.

Jackson, Lisa Marie marriage certificate sold for $70,800

Pop star Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley’s marriage certificate has been sold for $70,800 at an auction.
The document, which boasts both stars’ signatures, was issued to the couple following a 15-minute ceremony on May 26 in 1994 in the Dominican Republic, reported contactmusic.com.

It went under the hammer on Saturday with an opening price of $27,000 and quickly sparked a bidding war as two collectors vied for the item, racking up 20 offers between them.

‘My wife and I have been collecting autographs and memorabilia since 1973. Several years ago, we were outbid on the marriage certificate signed by Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller and I did not want to miss the chance to own this one. We were very excited,’ the anonymous winner said.

The King of Pop’s highly-publicised marriage with Elvis Presley’s daughter lasted for two years.

‘Italian Job’ was never offered to Priyanka Chopra: Abbas-Mustan

Filmmakers Abbas-Mustan have cleared the air about rumours that actor Abhishek Bachchan urged them to remove actress Priyanka Chopra from the cast of the Hindi remake of ‘The Italian Job’ saying she wasn’t offered the film at all.
‘The star cast of ‘Italian Job’ was finalised long time back. We had signed Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif in the first go and Katrina was always our first choice so there was no question of talking to Priyanka Chopra,’ Abbas told IANS.

‘She was never approached or spoken to for this role so how can Priyanka lose out on a role she was never even considered for?’

Priyanka’s spokesperson confirmed it saying: ‘There have been no discussions with Priyanka for this film (’Italian Job’).’

Rumours have been abuzz that Priyanka was dropped from the film on Abhishek’s insistence after he learnt that she had refused a role in his friend Rohan Sippy’s film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’.

While Abbas has denied any such casting pressures from Abhishek, Sippy says the actor is non-interfering in this regard.

‘Abhishek is a consummate professional, who has never interfered in any part of the creative process on all the films we have worked on, including ‘Dum Maaro Dum’,’ said Sippy who has earlier worked with the actor in the hit film ‘Bluffmaster’.

‘Any media reports suggesting that he has been for or against any casting is categorically false and contrary to his position as a wonderful actor who is collaborating with some of the most respected directors and producers in the industry today,’ he added.

Morgan Freeman says award nominations have done nothing for his career

Morgan Freeman says getting nominated for high-profile awards like the Globes and the Oscars has done nothing for his film career.
“It does nothing…It hasn’t done anything for my career,” Fox News quoted him, as saying at last week’s Critics Choice Awards.
However, nominations do have their own advantage.
Freeman pointed out: “When you get nominated for anything, you’re getting pats on the back. Someone is saying ‘oh well done’ and that never gets old,” he added.
And the 72-year-old actor, who has won accolades for playing Nelson Mandela in Clint Eastwood’s “Invictus”, believes Gandhi’s work should be overlooked.
He said: “There was also Mohandas K Gandhi, he was in my time also…So Madiba (Mandela’s honorary title in South Africa) is part of that pantheon of really great leaders, people who have done something we will never forget.”
Talking about campaigning for his movies’ promotion, Freeman said: “It’s one of the musts you do if you’re pleased with your work and you want to sell it.”

Helen Mirren urges women to go for facelifts if it makes them feel happy

Oscar-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren has said that women should go for facelifts if they make them feel better about themselves.
The star said that she understands why women opt for cosmetic surgery in a bid to look younger.
“I don”t think there’’s outside pressure, I think it’’s the pressure you put on yourself when you look at yourself in the mirror in the morning,” the Telegraph quoted her a saying.
“You go, ”I don”t want to look at that face any more”, and I understand that, absolutely. I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want to make themselves feel happy,” she added.
The 64-year-old laughed off the suggestion that female audiences relate to her because she seems ”real” in a world of Hollywood fakery.
She told GMTV: “I think you go in and out of popularity. When you”re in the public eye, you go through phases. Sometimes people like you and sometimes they just can”t stand the sight of you. And then it comes back again. So I don”t think it’’s much to do with the way you look.”

‘Peepli Live’ lauded at Sundance, Aamir on a high

Bollywood star Aamir Khan is extremely happy that his production venture ‘Peepli Live’ was received well by the audience at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, US.
‘Our film ‘Peepli Live’ was really well-received here at the Sundance Film Festival. We had our first screening on the 24th (Jan) at the Egyptian Theatre, Park City. Super reaction right through the film, and huge ovation at the end. Audience really seemed to love it,’ Aamir posted on his blog Wednesday.

Directed by Anusha Rizvi, ‘Peepli Live’ is a satire on rural life in India. It features Raghuvir Yadav along with debutant actors from Madhya Pradesh.

The actor, who has been conferred the Padma Bhushan, the nation’s third highest civilian honour, in this year’s Republic Day awards, says he was waiting for the reactions for ‘Peepli Live’.

‘I was really keen to see the reaction here at Sundance as I wanted to get a sense of how a non-Indian audience reacts to the film. Ninety percent of the audience was non-Indian. I am now even more certain that this film has the potential to engage a world audience.

‘The big challenge, when we release the film worldwide, will be to get them (audiences) in. It doesn’t have any stars and is in a language that they don’t understand,’ he added.

Orlando Bloom desperate for Hobbit role

Orlando Bloom has revealed that he wants to reprise his role as an elf-prince in upcoming ‘Lord Of The Rings’ prequel ‘The Hobbit’.
The actor is so desperate that he’s already asked Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, who will write the screenplay for the, about the cast.
Bloom landed his breakthrough role playing Legolas in Jackson’s 2001 epic ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’, and he went on to star in the two sequels.
Work has now begin on a prequel, based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit - the book which began the fantasy story franchise - and Bloom wants to be involved.
“I shot an email to Pete and I said, ‘You know, if you want me to don the blond wig and pointy ears again, I’d be honoured to do it.’ He said - funnily enough - ‘Well, we’ll see’. They’re very, very hush-hush,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling MTV.com.
However, Bloom has admitted that the decision may rest with Guillermo del Toro, who will helm the blockbuster.
“It’s Guillermo’s movie and I’m a huge fan of that man. He’s obviously going to take his own idea of it, but I’m excited for that movie. I think it’s going to be great,” he said.

Natalie Portman keeps ‘new fling hush-hush’

Natalie Portman is keeping mum over her relationship with choreographer Benjamin Millepied because she doesn’t want to be projected as a home wrecker.
Millepied, 32- the New York City Ballet dancer-is choreographing the ‘Closer’ star in her new movie, ‘The Black Swan’.
And reports suggest that Natalie was the reason behind Millepied’s break up with his girlfriend of three years.
“They’ve been dating since the fall, although she told friends that she hasn’t gone public with it because she was waiting to see if things got serious,” the New York Post quoted a source as saying.
“But the real reason she was quiet about things is that Ben had a live-in girlfriend of three years when they met. She was a ballerina at the American Ballet Theater. She had been talking about marrying him and was blindsided by the split. She moved out right after New Year’s Eve,” added the source.
A spokeswoman for Portman said: “We have no comment about her personal life.”

“Tony is a friend of David’s [Beckham] and when they moved to Los Angeles, I got the chance to meet Victoria and we just hit it off. So we’re close friends. She’s just an amazing woman,” the Mirror quoted Longoria as telling New! Magazine.

Jolie’s adopted kids become ‘fashion accessories’ in online game

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s adopted children have found place in an online game that enables players to purchase orphans as ‘fashion accessories.’
The game titled, My Minx, also allows young girls to give contraceptives and morning after pills to their online avatars.
Players dress their “virtual minxes” in lingerie and other revealing clothes and can buy orphans named after the adopted children of celebs including Madonna and Ewan McGregor.
The adoption clinic in a virtual Style City includes children called Pax, Maddox and Zahara, after Jolie’s children.
These children have the same ages and nationalities as Jolie’s, with the three-year-old Maddox, said to be Cambodian and fond of eating cockroaches.
The five-year-old Vietnamese Pax is called a fan of noodles, and four-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia is called a guinea pig eater.
Once the adoption fee is paid, players give their new children designer gear and try and sell image rights for them to celeb mags.
Players are challenged to outdo rival “minxes” by hoarding more adoptive children.
The game developed by north London firm Blighty Arts also allows players take their minxes binge drinking and clubbing as they try to seduce men.
Minxes, who succeed in one night stands, have access to virtual condoms and morning after pills.
Gamers can design their own lingerie brands and handbag ranges as they play to create the most stylish minx.
There is no age restriction on the game and players running out of virtual cash can top up their accounts by sending text messages costing 1.50pounds each or use PayPal.
My Minx was unveiled shortly before Christmas and has already boasts of 20,000 members as young as seven.
However, the game has come under fire from parents’ groups.
“There are more than enough pressures on children to grow up already. We don’t need any more,” the Telegraph quoted Andy Hibberd, spokesman for parents’ rights group Parentkind, as saying.
Hibberd continued: “Their parents will not have any idea that they are playing this game and the children will fail to appreciate its irony.
“Having them getting virtual condoms or morning after pills will not make them any less promiscuous.”
Hibberd added: “As regards child adoption, this game encourages them to think that they don’t need to worry about morals or ethics. It is all just a bit of fun.
“It is sending out all the wrong messages and the only reason its creators have made it is to make money.”
But Blighty Arts director Christopher Evans says the game is pure entertainment.
He said: “It is nonsense to suggest our game is a bad influence on young children.
“We try to protect children too much from the real world for too long in this day and age. They cannot be wrapped up in cotton wool.
“We should let them grow up making their own decisions about the games they play.”
Evans added: “The game teaches children about the world while poking fun at celebrity adoptions.
“Every time they turn on the TV they will see the likes of Madonna adopting African children anyway.
“The contraceptives and morning after pills are only one part of the game and we are not encouraging young girls to take them, just reflecting real life.”

Officers responding to a 911 call described Mark as "belligerent and combative" when questioning him, saying they had to use pepper spray to subdue and arrest him. During his arrest, it was alleged that he had grabbed his father by the throat.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the two got into a struggle after the 70-year-old Daniel Kerrigan refused to let his son use the phone.
"Authorities are conducting an investigation into a sudden death," District Attorney Gerry Leone tells ET. "Police and State Police ... responded to reports of an unresponsive male ... upon arrival, authorities located a male in need of medical attention who was transferred to Winchester Hospital, where he was pronounced dead."
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Daniel this afternoon.

Fake Johnny Depp death rumours jam the net

Gossip websites crashed after hoaxers claimed that Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp had been killed in an accident.
The fraudsters mocked up a CNN page saying he had died in a car crash.
The reports alleged that wreckage was found outside Bordeaux, in France, and pictures showed a guard rail embedded in the car.
It was reported that the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star’s body was lying nearby among booze bottles.
“The police suspect that alcohol was the cause of the accident,” the Daily Star quoted the hoaxer as saying.
Twitter users forwarded the bogus report and grieving fans jammed the Internet with one search engine reporting 13million hits.
Computer experts claimed Johnny’s “death” was the most searched subject in the world.
But last night the bemused actor, 46, assured fans: “I’m alive and well.”
“He’s fine,” insisted his spokesman Robin Baum.

John Travolta Lands in Haiti with Relief Supplies

The actor and his wife, Kelly Preston, flew to Haiti with six tons of ready-to-eat military rations and medical supplies, the Associated Press reports. Fuel for the trip was provided by Qantas airlines.
"We have the ability to actually help make a difference in the situation in Haiti and I just can't see not using this plane to help," he told reporters on the ground.
He also drew a comparison between this disaster to the relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina, saying, "We were there right away, with this airplane, because you know we have the ability and the means to do this so I think you have responsibility on some level to do that."

Sir Elton John to perform at archaeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico

British singer Sir Elton John is set to perform at the archaeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico later this year.

John, 62, who will be taking to the stage at the Mayan ruins on April 3, will be following in the footsteps of opera greats Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo, reports the Daily Express.
The Rocket Man will be singing in the same spot as Pavarotti did in 1997 and Domingo in 2008.
The concert had earlier not been confirmed, due to the recent excavations at the foot of El Castillo, but now Yucatan state officials have said the show will go on as planned as the stage will be set on the opposite side of the great pyramid. (ANI)
