Former American supermodel Cindy Crawford says she loves designing her own furniture.
The 45-year-old, who designs her own furniture line and is planning a new range of homeware later this year, admits she never imagined she would have such an interest in interiors but believes it suits her life perfectly, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

‘I never set out to be the next Martha Stewart (American business magnate). But I love working with interiors, because it reflects who I am today…someone who cares about her home environment,’ she said.

Crawford currently lives in Malibu, California with husband Rande Gerber and children Presley, 10, and Kaia, 8, and admits her home life is much more fulfilling than modelling.

‘I want us to be happy here. The kind of happiness that’s not contingent on my looking good in a bikini,’ she said.

“It is also creditable that within two weeks period the entire business of a film is assessed and concluded. I am happy that Paa is in its seventh week,” concludes the actor.

Karan Johar keen to work with Aishwarya Rai?

If grapevine is to be believed, Karan Johar is toying with the idea of finally working with Aishwarya Rai, with whom he hasn’t made a single project in his over decade-long career.
‘Karan said that Aishwarya is his ideal heroine and all the scripts that he writes are keeping her in mind. He also said that various reasons have veered them from working together. But he is hoping that it is the right time that he gets her to work in his production sometime soon,’ a source, who overheard Karan’s conversation with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, told IANS on condition of anonymity.

The two filmmakers were discussing Aishwarya at Sonali Bendre’s birthday party Dec 31.

‘Sanjay Leela Bhansali was overheard telling Karan Johar that Aishwarya is very original and there is no one like her. He further said that if a director has not worked with her in his or her career, it’s a big loss for them. Sanjay also praised her work in ‘Guzaarish’,’ the source said.

Aishwarya has worked with Bhansali in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Devdas’ - both of which did well at the box office. Now she is being directed by him in ‘Guzaarish’, which also features Hrithik Roshan

Kevin Spacey to star in Chinese film

Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey has agreed to star in a new Chinese movie.
The ‘American Beauty’ actor has signed up to take one of the lead roles in director Dayyan Eng’s black comedy ‘Inseparable’, which will be shot in both Mandarin and English, reports variety.com.

Shooting for the film, about a troubled young man who befriends a mysterious American ex-pat, is scheduled to begin in southern China later this month.

Singer Rihanna has hired a bikini stylist. The ‘Umbrella’ star is a fan of Celeste Johnny’s swimwear collection and she has asked the designer to create a one-off line of beach clothing for her.
Johnny, the owner of Johnny Vincent Swimwear, is only too pleased to help her celebrity client after Rihanna sent orders sky rocketing by wearing one of her bikinis during a recent holiday in Mexico with new boyfriend, baseball star Matt Kemp, reports fashion.ie.

‘She looked great…and I just got an email that she wants a striped bikini, so I’m kinda going over things with her assistant as far as, like, the colours that she wants,’ he said.

Beyonce, Jay-Z are highest earning Hollywood couple

Singing couple Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have topped the list of Hollywood’s highest-earning couples by pulling a combined $122 million.
In the latest list, the couple’s earnings were almost double from that of the runner-ups - Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, whose combined $69 million intake fetched them second place whereas Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came third with $55 million, reports okmagazine.com.

Another Hollywood couple - Will and Jada Pinkett Smith - came fourth with $48 million followed by Victoria and David Beckham with $46 million.

Shahid Kapoor starrer Chance Pe Dance is all set to release this Friday. Shahid plays a role of struggling actor which he says reminds him of struggling days when he was at the threshold of her career.
There is one scene in the film which literally takes him down to the memory lanes. He remembers the dialogue and says, “There is one interesting dialogue in the film where director tells me- ‘You dance pretty well’; to which I reply, I have performed it in131 auditions before today and have heard the same compliment.”

Pitt, Jolie reach out to Haiti quake victims

Hollywood star couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have stepped in to help victims of the Haiti earthquake, which has left thousands of people dead and many homeless.
The poverty-stricken Caribbean island was hit hard by a massive tremor measuring 7 on the Richter Scale Tuesday that struck just south of capital city Port-au-Prince.

Rapper Wyclef Jean has also urged the public to donate money to help the rescue efforts in the country and the Hollywood supercouple has come forward to aid the campaign, contactmusic.com reports.

‘We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter,’ read a statement from Pitt-Jolie.

Added Jean: ‘I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince face catastrophe alone. We must act now.’

Meanwhile, hip-hop star Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is also pleading for help to raise funds for those affected. Taking to his Twitter.com page, he wrote: ‘God Bless Haiti! God please! State of Emergency!’

He then requested fans donate cash to Jean’s Yele Haiti charity organisation.

Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash was an occasion for the Bachchans and Khans to bury their past differences and whip up a new bonhomie.

While Abhishek Bachchan, always chilled out, has never had any differences with Shahrukh Khan or his wife Gauri, Aishwarya Rai, we all know, wasn’t on talking terms with the King Khan for a span of many years after she was dropped unceremoniously from his film ‘Chalte Chalte’.

The thaw in the chill between Ash and SRK began to set in last year, but their friendship wasn’t resuscitated enough for them to work together again. The two were last seen together on big screen in Devdas in 2002.

However, the camaraderie between SRK, Gauri, Abhi and Ash at Hrithik’s party had to be seen to be believed. SRK was in a jovial mood and discussing his upcoming film Ra.One with the couple. He reportedly even asked Ash to make a cameo appearance in the film

According to a source, there is a character in the film who is Ash’s greatest fan. Ash is required to play herself for just a scene when the fan meets her.

Whether Ash agreed to play the cameo is not known. However, what’s crystal clear is that both SRK and Ash have let bygones be bygones and might work together sooner than we expect.

In fact, after the bash, the two couples drove to SRK’s home Mannat in the same car. Still in a mood to party, the quartet put on some music and it was Abhishek who pulled SRK’s wife Gauri to the dance floor.

Aamir Khan’s next film for adults only!

Every film to which Aamir Khan attaches himself becomes special in one way or another. Even as producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 3 Idiots continues to pull crowds to theatres, Aamir is ready with his next home production Peepli Live.

The movie, sadly, doesn’t star Aamir. It has Raghuvir Yadav playing a distraught farmer who announces his suicide in advance, creating a media frenzy to capture the event live.

Since the film is set in a village, it has ample rustic vernacular that at times borders on fowl language. The Censor Board obviously wasn’t pleased with the dialogues and gave Aamir the option of deleting these scenes to get a ‘U’ (Universal Viewing) certificate.

However, the perfectionist that he is, Aamir wasn’t willing to make a single change in the film. Even if that meant accepting an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate that excludes the viewers under 18 from watching the film in theatres.

A dark comedy directed by newcomer Anusha Rizvi, ‘Peepli Live’ has already created the right buzz by becoming the official entry to the Sundance Film Festival.

Shahrukh! Watch out for snake!

The shooting of Karan Johar’s movie My Name Is Khan was expected to proceed smoothly until a snake showed up and scared the daylights out of everyone on the sets, which included a huge bunch of 500 extras and the film’s leading man Shahrukh Khan.

The serpent was first spotted at the time when the movie’s set was being erected in Film City in Mumbai. However, since it was considered a good omen by some, the snake was not caught and allowed to slither away.

Later on, when a crucial flood scene was being shot inside a huge tank in Film City, the snake showed up again, this time inside the water tank in which were also hundreds of extras and crew members, including Shahrukh Khan.

Within seconds after the snake was seen, Shahrukh was taken out from the water tank, followed by the entire crew. An expert snake catcher then caught the snake, tamed it, and later released it in its natural habitat.

Only after it was ensured that the water tank was safe did the crew and cast step back in to resume the shooting.

‘Lindsay Lohan In India’ trailer released

The BBC recently released the trailer of its documentary ‘Lindsay Lohan In India’ - a film that deals with the subject of trafficking of women and children in India.

In a step aimed at reforming her image of an irrevocable party girl, Lindsay Lohan had come to India in December and shot for the documentary without drawing much media attention to herself.

Lindsay’s mom Dina tells PEOPLE about her daughter’s initiative: “I’m so proud of Lindsay, that under all the scrutiny the tabloids put her under, she is a very strong, caring, talented girl who ignores all the negative, and continues to move forward in a positive direction. I am so proud of her.”

According to BBC, in the documentary Lindsay meets with “young boys who work 16-hour days under the constant threat of beatings, …a reformed trafficker who would make a quick buck luring young girls...[and] a shelter where young girls promised domestic work for India's burgeoning middle classes were trafficked into brothels and forced into prostitution.”
