Shah Rukh Khan meets Kolkata Knight Riders teams

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan who is also co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) twenty20 cricket tournament visited his team practicing at the nets in Kolkata.
He interacted candidly with the players as well as the skipper Sourav Ganguly and coaches Wasim Akram of Pakistan and Dave Whatmore, conducting the training sessions.
He also watched the practice session of the team and met the young players.
Later talking to reporters, Khan said that though the team had not performed well in the IPL seasons so far, he hoped it would give an improved performance in the forthcoming season and make the city proud.
As for having more international players in the team, he said that picture would be clearer by the end of this week.
"I think the decision will be taken by Jan. 17 or 18, because we have so many prospects. We will also get a clear picture about some of the availability of international players. We already have that but we will get a complete clear picture. We want to wait till last minute so that we are very clear, who is available, when, what, how. We will try and go for the player and hopefully get him," he added.
Reacting to the ongoing revolt by the hockey players of the national team, Khan shared his concern and wished the administrators would resolve the issue.
"I guess everyone has to take their stand in the way they feel...deemed fit. And I hope it gets resolved. See it's not really nice that there is a strike, and it's not really nice that they should go and work when they are feeling little unhappy or at least unattended to, in some aspect of economics. I think it should just get resolved, as all of us Indians, we should hope that the strike ends and both of the parties are happy. The organisers, the administrators are happy and the players are even happier," added Khan.

Jackson’ doctor to face charges for murder?

Late pop legend Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray is facing possible criminal charges in relation to the death of the pop icon last year.
Falling ill at his Los Angeles home June 25 last year, the singer was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. In the aftermath of his death, much of the blame for the King of Pop’s demise was placed on his personal physician Murray.

Soon it emerged that the icon was addicted to a cocktail of painkillers and sleeping tablets, which contributed to his death. The Los Angeles county coroner last year returned findings of a homicide in its report on Jackson’s death.

Since then Murray has protested his innocence, even publishing a video on YouTube thanking his supporters. However, according to reports in the US, the doctor could be set to face criminal charges soon.

According to reports, an anonymous source claims that the Los Angeles Police Department have completed their investigation and are set to launch criminal charges against Murray.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Murray has hired Britney Spears’ former lawyer J. Michael Flanagan who he claims has experience in Propofol cases. Flanagan defended Spears in her hit and run trial back in 2007.

The singer’s death certificate has leaked online stating the cause of death as ‘homicide’ from ‘acute Propofol intoxication’ due to an ‘intra-venous injection by another’ and the family is hoping to find out the culprit.
