Madonna invests £937K in coconut water manufacturing firm

Queen of pop Madonna has invested 937,000 pounds in a coconut water manufacturing firm after she fell in love with the drink during her Sticky ` Sweet world tour.
Madonna, 51, along with her manager Guy Oseary, snapped up shares of New York-based company Vita Coco, which sells the latest trendy beverage across the U.S.
And they are so taken with the juice made from young, green coconuts that they have rounded up stars including Matthew McConaughey, Demi Moore, and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis to maker smaller investments.
Madge, who is famed for her strict healthy lifestyle, reportedly made the coconut juice her favourite thirst-quencher while performing on her tour last year, and she was keen to get involved with the brand before it hit the mainstream.
“The fact that (the manufacturers) are saying no to everyone who wants them is pretty cool. You want to go to the party that no one else is invited to,” the Daily Star quoted Oseary as saying.

“The vicar will start melting. The people in the front row will turn into people from my school. And then everyone will only say the word ‘potato’.”

He said: “I’m getting married to a beautiful woman. I’m enjoying my work. What could be better? Nothing!”
The couple got engaged last month.

Kim Cattrall blames busy schedule for break-up

‘Sex and the City’ star Kim Cattrall has revealed that the reason for her break-up with chef Alan Wyse was her busy work schedule.

Cattrall, 53, who had split from the Canadian cook last year after a five-year romance, and who had been married three times, is still hopeful of finding someone she will settle down with forever.
“It’s very hard for someone not involved in this business to really understand what it’s about. You work 12-hour days, and something like a series literally consumes your life,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
“I think its just time not there, really. But I’m still hopeful that I’ll meet someone,” she added.

Colin Firth believes homosexual actors risk losing work

Actor Colin Firth believes homosexual actors risk not being cast if they declare themselves.
The Bridget Jones’s Diary star, who plays the role of George Falconer, a homosexual college professor, in A Single Man, revealed there were still “invisible boundaries” set for gay artists.
“There might be risks for a gay actor coming out. The politics of that are quite complex, it seems to me,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying at the film’s UK premiere in London.
“If you’re known as a straight guy, playing a gay role, you get rewarded for that. If you’re a gay man and you want to play a straight role, you don’t get cast - and if a gay man wants to play a gay role now, you don’t get cast.
“I think it needs to be addressed and I feel complicit in the problem. I don’t mean to be. I think we should all be allowed to play whoever - but I think there are still some invisible boundaries which are still uncrossable,” he added.

Angelina Jolie, Lady Gaga had an affair?

If rumours are to be believed, then Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie had an affair with singer Lady Gaga.

According to Ian Halperin, author of the recent bestseller Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the ‘Tomb Raider’ star might have cheated on partner Brad Pitt with GaGa.
Jolie - who is openly bisexual - and GaGa - a rumoured hermaphrodite - had a secret rendezvous at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel that lasted all night, Halperin alleges.
Jolie is reportedly ‘obsessed’ with Gaga, reports the China Daily.
It’s not the first time Jolie has been accused of cheating on Pitt.
Earlier this week, In Touch Weekly magazine spoke to a housekeeper who worked extensively with the family on their numerous visits to the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
Anna Kowalski claimed that the actress had a series of steamy sex sessions with one of the dialect coaches she worked with on the set of her movie ‘Salt’.

Jolie’s signature shows signs of "stress", says expert

As rumours of Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie breaking-up picks momentum, a handwriting expert has said that an autograph the actress recently gave a fan shows she is under stress.
The couple appeared more affectionate than usual at the Directors Guild of America Awards on January 30, but expert Sheila Lowe has revealed that the long extended final stroke of Jolie’s last name in the autograph “can add up to feeling pressured, with a need to protect oneself”.
“Hers has always been an extremely simplified signature, and this one is even more so. It’s like shorthand. It could be a result of stress, the need to keep things on the surface and simple,” Us magazine quoted Lowe as saying.
“The extremely long, rightward ending stroke is symbolic of holding others at bay. Think of an outstretched arm: Stand back!” she said, adding that signatures can be more difficult to decipher when written quickly.
Similarly, Patti Stanger of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker, recently said that Jolie “shows possessiveness and a desire not to lose Brad…but defensive [body language] in case she does”.
Bart Baggett, creator of the Handwriting Wizard, says Jolie’s signature has “large beginning letters, which indicates confidence and a healthy ego”.
He compared her signature to one from 2006, toward the beginning of her relationship with Pitt.
“She has learned the art of compromise and has more humility than before,” he said.
“The angles, the analytical, masculine qualities are less. She has more feminine, supportive handwriting.
“It is more of a mother trait than a demise in the relationship. Her ego is still strong,” Baggett added.

Cox is known for his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company where he gained great recognition for the portrayal of King Lear. He also played King Agamemnon in Hollywood movie ‘Troy’.

Roman Polanski not a predator: Johnny Depp

Actor Johnny Depp has come to the defence of Roman Polanski, who is facing extradition to the US on child sex charges, insisting the director is not a predator.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977, but fled the States before his sentence could be passed. He was arrested in Zurich last year and placed under house arrest in Switzerland. Last month, a Los Angeles judge ruled he must return to the US to face sentencing.

But Depp, who collaborated with the 76-year-old on the 1999 thriller ‘The Ninth Gate’, insists prosecutors should take Polanski’s current home life into consideration and let the 32-year-old charges go, reported imdb.com

‘Roman is not a predator. He is 75 or 76 years old. He has got two beautiful kids, he has got a wife that he has been with for a long, long time. He is not out on the street,’ said Depp.

Televisions’s most Explicit show ‘Spartacus’

Battlestar Galactica's Lucy Lawless finally bares it all for her role as Lucretia, the rapacious wife of John Hannah's Batiatus, in Starz's upcoming Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and she's not shy about it. At all.
"It's a way of telling the audience, 'You ain't in Kansas anymore,'" Lawless said in a conference call Wednesday. "It certainly jolts you into a new reality where people had completely different relationships to their bodies and other human beings. Slavery, different attitudes to sexuality, prostitution, you name it. They thought of things differently, but essentially human beings haven't evolved so very much, so you're still able to relate to them."

The hourlong drama is a new take on the story of a Roman gladiator who eventually leads a slave rebellion against Rome itself. A kind of mixture of HBO's Rome and Zack Snyder's 300, the show is notable in part for introducing us to Lawless in the buff, beginning with the second episode. But there's a reason for it, she assures us.
"In fact, all of us, the actors and writers, are very serious about what we do," she said. "We do not want one single thing to be gratuitous. It's not what we're about. Even when there's a sex scene, in fact there is business being transacted. The scene is about something else; otherwise, it would be on the Playboy Channel. It would be somewhere else. This is not soft porn. It's a bloody good yarn, and you want to be on board."
In her first nude scene, Lucretia and her husband happily discuss political plans while stripping for bed. Meanwhile, off-screen "fluffers" prepare them to consummate. The fluffing is off-screen, but that's still something you've never seen on TV before, said series creator Steven S. DeKnight.
"In the first draft it was written they were engaged in the act and having this conversation," DeKnight said during the conference call. "[Executive producer and Lawless' husband] Rob [Tapert] felt like this is something we could see anywhere in TV. How can we make it different for our show? There were a lot of extremely graphic, crazy suggestions thrown out that I can't even repeat on the phone. They shocked even me, but, finally, I really started thinking about it, and I thought this first scene really needs to set up the master/slave relationship. Why not use that in the sexual connotation and actually have them be fluffers, but not just the woman fluffer for the guy, but also have a fluffer for the woman? It's interesting, because the way it's shot, you really don't see anything with the fluffing going on, but it's the implication that just makes it extremely racy."
There is even more outrageous debauchery to come, Lawless promised. "They would have conversations while I'm in a bath with slaves," she said. "So naturally you are in a state of undress, but there is something going on in the scene that is more riveting than me."
Oh yeah?
"I will say with regards to the nudity, you get kind of used to it," Lawless said. "It's historically accurate that there are slaves standing around in states of undress, and after a while it becomes a non-issue. It loses its taboo, and it's irrelevant to your day."
