Salman Khan supporting Preity Zinta’s IPL team

Bollywood actor Salman Khan says he is supporting actress Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Indian Premier League team, though he admits he hasn’t watched any of the matches in season-3 of the tournament.
‘I am supporting Zinta’s team, but I haven’t watched any of the matches as yet,’ Salman told reporters at the ‘mahurat’ (inauguration) of Rahul Dholakia’s film ‘Society’ here Tuesday.
The film has been produced by Smita Thackeray, who is daughter-in-law of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.
Salman believes that media shows the face of society so it should not amplify trivial issues.
‘Show good things to the society. Sometimes you make stories out of nothing and exaggerate some trivial issues. Don’t do that,’ Salman said.

Kate Moss wears dresses made from mosquito nets for preventing Malaria

British supermodel Kate Moss wore a dress woven from recycled mosquito nets. The 36-year-old wore the strapless outfit designed by William Tempest to support Sport Relief 2010 and its commitment to tackling malaria.
The insecticide-treated mosquito net is one of the easiest and most cost-effective methods of preventing the spread of malaria.
Taking time out to promote the cause, Kate said: 'I was shocked to hear that one child dies from malaria in Africa every 30 seconds, that’s why I was happy to be involved in this important project for Sport Relief.
'William Tempest’s dress, which incorporates recycled malaria nets is absolutely gorgeous, I loved wearing it and working with William.
'It’s a great way of raising awareness of the seriousness of malaria, a disease which is both preventable and treatable.  Donating just £5 can pay for a net which helps protect from potentially fatal mosquito bites that spread malaria.'
William Tempest added: 'I’m really proud and excited to have designed a dress for Sport Relief with the serious message of highlighting the power of the humble mosquito net as a lifesaving tool against malaria.
'To help raise awareness about malaria I designed a structured dress which incorporates layers of a malaria net in panels. Kate looks amazing in the dress and I hope its auction will raise lots of money and bring awareness to such a great cause.'
